If you are looking for a base from which to tour the Highlands or the west coast of Scotland, or for walking, climbing, or fishing, you could hardly find a better location. Glenshiel has some of the most rugged mountain scenery in the Scottish Highlands, and there are over 20 munros with easy distance of Moyvegan House. What's more the cottage is situated next to the Kintail Lodge Hotel – the only hotel (and public bar!) for 10 miles, with two cosy, well-stocked bars and home-cooked food served in the bar or restaurant.
